Eat This, Not That: BK vs. McDonalds

Whether we're on a diet, health buffs or die-hard workout fanatics, most of us eat fast food at least once a month (if not more)! We obviously know it's not the healthiest thing, but it's fast, hence: "Fast" Food!
It would be silly to tell you that fast food is healthy, because for the most part, it isn't; there are things you can do though to make sure you're being as relatively healthy with eating it as possible!
This blog will hopefully give you some ideas on what NOT to eat when it's time to hit up the drive-thru!

Thinking about going thru Burger King for a regular Whopper (WITH cheese)?
Try a McDonalds Big Mac instead, I know it might sound like a ridiculous choice, but:

A BK Whopper has a total of: 760 calories & 47 grams of fat.
A Big Mac, on the other hand has a total of: 540 calories & 29 grams of fat!

Perhaps you're not in the mood for red meat and are still sitting in the BK drive-thru, you decide to get a BK Big Fish Sandwhich, it does sound healthier, right? Wrong.

A BK Fish Sandwhich has a whopping total of: 640 calories & 32 grams of fat!

If you're seriously in the mood for some deep-fired fish, try a:

McDonalds Filet O'Fish, it only has 380 calories & 18 grams of fat!

Maybe you want to order a salad, well check this out before you do!

For a BK Tendergrill Garden Salad, you'll be eating 490 calories with 30 grams of fat!
McDonalds' Premium Southwest Salad with grilled chicken only has 380 calories with only 9 grams of fat!
[[Without the grilled chicken: 140 calories & 4.5 grams of fat]]

Go light with the dressing, or even subtract the dressing, you might find it's just as tasty without all the extra calories!

I think, for the most part, it's safe to say that McDonalds is better, calorie-wise. The nutritional information is very easy to get off of both of their websites(Bk.com & mcdonalds.com), just use caution when you attempt to see McDonalds and don't enter your cell phone number if you're asked, you're on the wrong website :)
